If coffee would make my afternoon perfect, then what could make perfect even better?
Cappuccino @ Minimal Cafe 極簡
No.42 Lane 2, Taishun Street, Taipei, Taiwan
COFFEE + CAT + CHILLOUT = Perfecto!
Tucked in a quiet alley in the Shida area, Minimal Cat Cafe is the place to be if you are a sucker for meow-meows. There are a total of 7-8? cats in the cafe, roaming freely and parading their feline highness.
We had to wait for about 15-20 minutes before we got a table. We could tell that most of the people were there for the novelty, more than anything else. Of course, it was also a great place to read a book, or have a quiet time on your own.
I ordered Cappuccino topped with Cinnamon..but it came topped with Chocolate instead. They offered to change it, but I declined (we had wait for a while already!). My friend ordered the Rose Hip tea, and boy was she in love with its fragrance and intense warmth!
Everyone was happily snapping away and reaching out to pat the kitties whenever they came by their seats. I bet most of them were uploading photos and geo-tagging them! I first got to know about this cafe via instagram, when I saw a friend’s photos.
This concept has been very popular in Japan, however, apparently the first cat cafe birthed in Taipei before it started sprouting across Japan. Come on down for some feline-lovin and caffeine pampering=)
